Hi! Thank you for taking the time to check out my blog. This is my first blog post ever, so bear with me. I’ve been brainstorming for days on what to share and where to even start. I’m still not quite sure, but figured I’d get started and share whatever comes to me. I’ve known that I wanted to share my beliefs, values and opinions for a while, but was hesitant to get started because I didn’t have a plan or feel ready. I was scrolling through Instagram one day and came across a quote from Lemony Snicket that reads “If we wait until we’re ready, we’ll be waiting for the rest of our lives”. I decided that same day to create the Instagram account, @rightkindofmamas. The name is not meant to offend the Left mamas out there. I have Right (Conservative/Republican) beliefs and I’m a mom. Simple as that. 🙂
The top priority of running this page and blog is to connect with like-minded people and having fun while doing it. I have so many thoughts on the crazy world we live in and wanted a way to have my voice heard. The past few years I’ve spent A LOT of time paying attention to what’s really going on in the world and I’ve done A LOT of complaining about it. I wasn’t sure how, and quite frankly, was nervous, to share my political views. Even if no one reads this, it feels good to sit down and express my thoughts and feelings. I’d be lying if I told you it doesn’t make me anxious to share some things because of the critics, but if they can share their opinions, why can’t I? They may disagree and think my beliefs are crazy, but that can go both ways. I may not agree with others, but I DO respect others’ views and don’t treat people any differently based on who they voted for. That is the way it should be!
If you would have told me even three years ago, that I’d start a political blog, I would have said you’re insane. But…here we are! If Covid has done anything positive, it has opened my eyes to all of the corruption in this world. From the government, to the media, to the education system, I have learned a great amount. I’m admittingly a Fox News junkie, BUT that doesn’t mean I believe everything I hear and go with it. A lot of the news we hear is hard to believe these days. I have done a lot of my own, independent research as well. Before this pandemic, I was a loyal NBC viewer. I watched the Today Show and Nightly News almost daily. Yikes. It’s understandable that people believe what they hear when every Mainstream Media channel is reporting the same thing. I used to be the same way. Let me tell you, by not listening to MSM anymore, it’s amazing how much less fear I feel relating to this never ending pandemic. When I began to analyze MSM news, I found that it was nothing more than fear mongering with the intent of political gains (for the Democrats, at least). Trump was right…FAKE NEWS! And boy, are they sure bored without him!
What the Biden Administration, the CDC and Teacher Unions (to name a few) are doing to this country is terrifying. Our Freedom has never been so at risk in my lifetime. The CDC tries to tells us what we can and cannot do. The teacher unions have control over our children’s education and from what we’ve learned about what is being taught the past few years, that’s not a good thing. My son is starting Kindergarten this fall and I’m at a loss of what to do. The backlash towards parents who are against CRT and gender issues are so unjustified in my opinion. I struggle to see the problem in wanting to teach my children that we’re all equal, that being born white is not something to be ashamed of. I believe in the idea of judging someone based off of their character, not their skin color. I want my children to use the bathrooms at school with kids of their biological gender, not the identified gender. I want my daughter to compete in sports against other biological females. Women’s sports are done for if we continue to let transgenders compete with biological females. How is this controversial? It’s a known fact that men are stronger and have the advantage. In the words of Don Trump Jr., “where are all the feminists at with this issue”?! If someone would like to deem me a bad person for these beliefs, so be it. To be clear, I have NO problem with transgenders. I have a problem with competing in sports based off of identified gender. Whether it’s moving to a Red state (I’ve been pushing AZ w/my husband), private schools or homeschooling, I will do whatever it takes to ensure my children get a proper education and aren’t indoctrinated with the junk that’s being pushed in schools today.
Yesterday was January 6th. The one year anniversary of the “insurrection”. To be perfectly clear, I do NOT agree with what happened that day. A large group of protesters took things too far, but to call it a violent insurrection is absurd. Kamala Harris compared January 6th to Pearl Harbor and 9/11. Two attacks that killed THOUSANDS of Americans and incited wars against our enemies. What are they trying to do? This administration continues to paint Republicans as enemies to the democracy. It couldn’t be further from the truth! Ask any Republican if they’re proud of be an American and the answer is more than likely, YES. Despite a messed up world and failed leadership, we still live in the best country of the world and are proud to do so. Ask Democrats if they are proud. From what I’ve seen on televised interviews on college campuses to MSM hosts considering the American flag offensive, I don’t think you’ll get as many yeses. If you truly believe Trump is the reason our country is so divided, I think it’s time to look further. The MSM, DC swamp and Big Tech flagged him as a threat the day he announced he was running. They’re right. He IS their biggest threat. Before Trump, no one had the courage to stand up against them. He has exposed them for what they really are and I’m so grateful for that. I mean, how many “right wing conspiracy theories” has been proven true?! I’ve always voted Republican, mostly because my parents did, but now I feel like I’m a Republican with purpose. I’m paying close attention and I’m prouder than ever to be an American!
My dad and I attended Turning Point USA’s America Fest in Arizona last month. What an experience! I was so impressed by the number of young students there. I’m 34 and still get some anxiety about sharing my beliefs, so I give them a lot of credit for standing up for what they believe in on their college campuses. A big message at AmFest was to use your voice! Stand up for what you believe in before it’s too late! Not enough Republicans do. I didn’t until just recently! I hate that we are villainized for our beliefs, but truly believe that it comes down to good vs evil. I’m confident that we will be on the right side of history!
Thank you for taking the time to read this and supporting this fun little venture. I have a lot of ideas I’m trying to sort out and plan to share soon! I’d love to form a community of like-minded people and give you all an opportunity to get involved as well! I’m here to have fun, share my beliefs and raise some LIONS!
God Bless America! 🙂
