Yesterday was the one-year anniversary of Joe Biden’s presidency. Three years to go. Yikes! I don’t know how America can survive much more of his destruction. On his Inauguration Day, gas was averaging $2.50/gallon. We had the best economy ever until Covid, but we were recovering well. GDP growth was about 33 percent in the third quarter. The vaccine was rolled out and there was hope the pandemic would soon end. North Korea was under control and wasn’t testing missiles. Russia and China were a threat, but Trump was tough on them and they respected him. Isis had been silent for over three years. Our southern border was as secure as it’s ever been and wall construction was ongoing. It’s hard to believe this was only one year ago. Do you feel like you’re in a better position than you were a year ago? Does our country feel more unified, as the President vowed to do during his campaign? In the President’s rare press conference on Wednesday, he said our country is more unified today, but still could be better. Delusional. His press conference was terrifying, embarrassing and infuriating. It is beyond time to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove him from office.
Biden’s press conference on Wednesday was his tenth of the year. For reference, Trump did 22 in his first year, Obama 27, Bush 19 and Clinton did 38 (GOP). It’s no surprise his staff shields him from questions and speaking engagements. There’s almost always gaffes and long silent pauses when he loses his train of thought. On Thursday his administration was on damage control, “clarifying” the statements Biden made during his press conference. They are not fooling me. There was no misunderstanding of Biden’s words, he either has no idea or say in what his administration is doing or he said the things he wasn’t supposed to out loud. It’s likely a combination of both. The President is so out of touch and not listening to the American people. His priorities are different than his constituents and his base is deteriorating.
President Biden spoke for two whole hours. It was so ridiculous; I could easily write a ten-page blog about it. I’ll spare you and share some of my biggest takeaways. He started out by boasting about his great year of accomplishments, even claiming he “probably outperformed” his promises. When it was time to take questions, he had a list of reporters prepared. He answered the first question while looking down at a sheet of paper and reading his answer. Could you imagine if Trump did that? After he got through his list, the President called on reporters in the crowd. When challenged or criticized, he was condescending, smirked and laughed and yelled at reporters. Towards the end he said he’d answer a few more if they were “easy questions” and he’d “give a quick answer”. There were a variety of topics discussed: Covid, election integrity, the Build Back Better bill, the economy and inflation and Russia. Surprisingly there was no discussion of rising crime around the country or our Southern borders, major concerns the Biden administration are not prioritizing.
Covid was the most discussed topic, as many of our problems stem from it. Biden campaigned on defeating the virus. A year later, here we are with record breaking cases and restrictions going into effect once again. Why are we doing the same things that didn’t work the first time? The current narrative is to blame the unvaccinated, but that’s being debunked with vaccinated people contracting and passing the virus too. When a reporter asked Biden what the new normal is, he replied that he didn’t know because there are millions still unvaccinated. It’s very interesting to me that a year ago we were told the vaccinated wouldn’t contract or transmit the virus, breakthrough cases were rare and now have shifted to accepting the vaccine won’t stop them from getting it, but will prevent from dying, probably. In his speech, Biden said we are moving in the right direction and soon it won’t alter our life. I’m not going to take his word for it because the government has been continuously using the excuse of changing science to extend their restrictions. Biden promised to get schools back open and agrees children should be in school. He said that 95 percent of schools are open right now. That’s great, but 5 percent is still thousands of kids out of school. The blame was put on the districts for not using their Covid relief money ($130 billion nationwide) to make their schools safe. The administration is sending at home tests and supplying masks to Americans. Free, they say! In reality, we are paying for them through taxes. Insurance companies will be reimbursing customers for tests and bumping up premiums to pay for it. This language is used to entice people and make it seem as if the government is doing us a favor. I know I’m not alone when I say I’m so over this pandemic. If it were up to me, we’d accept that it’s here to stay and use caution when necessary. We’ve spent two years of our lives living under restrictions that have not made a difference. Let’s live again and not let the government dictate our lives!
Joe Biden made a lot of promises throughout his campaign that he has not fulfilled. He’s failed to pass BBB and two election laws because they include a radical agenda that his own party can’t stand behind. I’m very grateful for those moderate Democrats. Biden does, however, believe he will pass pieces of the bills eventually. In his press conference, the President claimed Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell was making sure he couldn’t get anything done and would do anything to make him look bad. He said Republicans “aren’t in the game to make things better”. He can blame Republicans all he wants, but Democrats have the majority in both the Senate and House and he still can’t pass the bills. The man can’t even unite his own party, yet we expect him to unite the country? On multiple occasions Biden asked “what do Republicans stand for? What do they even stand for? Tell me one thing.”. Well Mr. President, will all due respect, I’m not surprised you’re unaware so let me list a few things for you. Republicans stand for energy independence, securing our border, free speech, banning CRT, election integrity, funding the police, medical freedom, school choice, parental rights, holding China accountable for Covid and putting America FIRST. Always!
The President’s speech in Georgia last week gained a lot of attention. He has been claiming we have voter suppression in this country, but if 2020 had the greatest voter turnout ever, doesn’t that contradict that claim? More voters than ever does not sound like people are being suppressed from voting. Have you heard a single example of a time an eligible American citizen has wanted to vote and was unable to? Me neither. Biden questioned the legitimacy of the 2022 Mid-term elections if his election bills are not passed. I think he’s attempting to push the narrative that if they lose seats, it’s because Republicans suppressed the vote and it’s illegitimate. He knows the Red Wave is coming and so do his colleagues! As of now, there are 28 Democrats that will not be running for reelection. The President said he’d be deeply involved in off year elections, but I honestly don’t know if Democrats want to associate themselves with him. Stacey Abrams didn’t attend Biden’s Georgia speech due to a “scheduling conflict”. I don’t know about you, but if the President is in town and wants me somewhere, I’d be changing my schedule. Biden’s endorsement may hurt 2022 candidates more than it’ll help.
My wallet’s biggest concern is inflation and the economy. When Biden was questioned on these topics, his answers were packed with gaslighting and lack of accountability. Did you know the best way to curb inflation is by passing Build Back Better? Yeah, me either because that’s not true, which is exactly why Joe Manchin blocked it from passing. There are some good components of the bill, but also some that would be devastating to our country and increase inflation. The first thing the administration should be focusing on is the supply chain crisis. Covid certainly disrupted the supply chain, but what we’ve seen the last few months is unprecedented in this country. The President claimed that stores are 89 percent stocked, which is about normal. Does he think we’re stupid? Why is #bareshelvesbiden trending? The stores are empty, everywhere! A reporter asked how long oil prices would be so high. Biden said he was relying on the Fed and can’t pass BBB, so he only has limited control. He said we need to increase our oil supply. What about reopening the Keystone Pipeline, Mr. President?! Our country was energy independent when he took office and now look at gas prices and your utility bills. He bragged about gas prices dropping 12 to 15 cents after tapping into petroleum reserves (which have gone back up). We wouldn’t have had to dig into our oil reserves if he wouldn’t have stopped construction of the Keystone Pipeline on day one. In another attempt to sell BBB to the American people, Biden stated there are 17 economists who agree the best way to bring prices down is to pass the bill. I’ve heard quite a few economists say the opposite, so maybe 17 was all the more he could find.
Foreign policy has been a weak spot in the Biden administration. From our botched departure of Afghanistan to our relations with China and Russia, America’s appeared weak to both our allies and enemies. Tensions on the Russia/Ukraine borders are running high and a Russian invasion looks imminent. I wish the administration was as worried about our Southern border as they are about Ukraine’s. In his press conference he shared that he has sent $600 million (taxpayer money) to equip Ukraine. We currently have 10,000-15,000 American citizens in the Ukraine. If Russia does invade, I hope the President works harder to get them to safety than he did for the Americans in Afghanistan. Biden spoke firmly and said that if Putin does decide to move in that he would see sanctions like he’s never seen before…”an immediate and stiff price”. His tone quickly changed and drew immediate criticism. “…It depends on what it (Russia) does. It’s one thing if it’s a minor incursion and then we end up having to fight about what to do and not to do.”, Biden said. Critics believe that statement gave Putin the green light to invade without consequence. His staffers tried to clean up for him the next day, but he had clearly already lost the trust of Ukraine’s President, Zelensky, who tweeted “we want to remind the great powers that there are no minor incursions and small nations. Just as there are no minor casualties and grief from the loss of loved ones…” NATO allies have openly disagreed on responses to Russia if they invade, Biden admitted on Wednesday. Our country is losing its credibility and power due to Biden’s approach, or lack thereof, on foreign policy.
I was pleasantly surprised to see real journalism and tough questions asked during his press conference on Wednesday. It’s gotten so bad that his MSM allies can’t cover it up anymore. There were a few other notable moments worth mentioning. The President did say if he runs again in 2024 that Kamala Harris will be his VP. A reporter questioned him about his undelivered promises. Biden grew visibly irritated and shouted “has anyone ever done so much in one year? Name one”. It’s amazing how quickly he loses his cool or is condescending when he’s challenged. Another reporter spoke about low poll numbers, which Biden replied are normal and he doesn’t believe the polls. A reporter from NewsMax asked a question I’ve been waiting to hear for a long time. “A poll found 49% of American voters disagreeing with a statement that Joe Biden was mentally fit…why do you suppose such large segments of the American electorate have come to harbor such profound concerns about your cognitive fitness?” His answer: “I have no idea”. That’s all, and on to the next question.
Our President is so out of touch. I don’t mean any disrespect and honestly feel bad for the guy, but he cannot construct a full sentence without a teleprompter. He’s constantly losing his train of thought and the whole world sees it! Our enemies will use this to their advantage and our allies will continue to lose trust. America’s reputation is being tainted by Joe Biden. You may not have liked Trump, but our country was a safer place. Trump was a leader who put America first and didn’t allow foreign leaders to walk all over him. The progressive direction Biden is taking our country in needs to be diverted before any more damage can be done. He said one of his plans for year two is to be on the road more, out with the public making his case. I’m confident that strategy will work in Republicans’ favor. The more Biden speaks, the better chance the American people who stand behind him will wake up! I’m sure his staffers won’t allow him to do another press conference anytime soon after the trainwreck we witnessed on Wednesday. I don’t like Joe Biden or what he is doing to this country, but I love America and in order for it to succeed, our President needs to. I have no confidence, but want him to be successful and unite the country. I believe he needs to move back to the middle and be the moderate Democrat he’s claimed to be all of these years. As much as progressivism is pushed, it’s not what a majority of the American people want. It’s time for the President to pay attention to what his constituents are concerned about and shift his priorities there. There is, however, one silver lining to his disastrous presidency. He is going to make it too easy for Republicans to take the House and Senate back (legitimately) in 2022! RED WAVE! God Bless America!
