Biden’s Week of Failures

You know it’s been a bad week for Joe when his biggest cheerleaders at CNN reported he’s had a “week from hell”. Inflation is up and his approval is down. Biden’s attempt to change Senate rules by eliminating the Filibuster to pass federal election laws failed and the Supreme Court blocked his Covid vaccine and testing mandates for businesses with 100+ employees. Besides inflation robbing us, there were definitely some wins for patriots and the rule of law.

A Quinnipiac University poll released this week show Biden’s job approval has dropped to a measly 33 percent, with a 53 percent disapproval. His approval rating started at 50 percent in February and has consistently gone down each month since. Among Democrats 75 percent approved, a 12-point loss since November when he had an 87 percent approval. Twenty-five percent of Independents approved and only two percent of Republicans approved. Thirty-four percent approve of his handling of the economy, 39 percent approve of his handling of the pandemic and 35 percent approve of his handling of foreign policy. Forty-nine percent of Americans believe he is doing MORE to divide the country, a devastating blow to a President who campaigned on uniting the country. This poll was performed before new inflation figures were released, revealing a 7 percent rise since one year ago. I can only imagine his approval will get lower. For our country’s sake, I hope not, but there has been nothing promising about his performance. (All stats taken straight from Quinnipiac poll)

Remember when Joe Biden promised no one making under $400,000 would pay a single penny more in taxes? Some people actually bought that and thought they’d have more money in their pockets under Joe! Maybe not paying more in actual taxes (yet), but inflation IS taxation and has gone up every month since he’s been in office. Earlier this week the Labor Department announced US inflation hit 7%, the fastest pace in 40 years! It’s estimated that the average household is paying $5,000 more a year. The administration assured us this was transitory inflation. Add that to the list of lies. Gas prices are up 49.6 percent, beef up 18.6 percent, pork up 15.1 percent, chicken up 10.4 percent, and used cars up 37.3 percent, just to name a few (Bureau of Labor Statistics). While we are paying more for nearly EVERYTHING, Joe Biden is celebrating that the CPI (consumer price index) only grew 0.5 percent last month versus 0.8 percent the month before. Apparently, a slower rate of growth is an achievement for this administration. The President can often be heard bragging about rising wages, ignoring the fact that we are paying more, ultimately creating a void or deficit. I understand that things are tough during a pandemic, but these numbers continue to rise with no end in sight. The supply chain crisis, which doesn’t exist according to the administration, is leaving shelves empty. The lack of supply and shortage of employees can be noticed everywhere you shop. Shelves are empty and the items you can find cost more. Each time I go to Target or the grocery store I’m unable to find at least one-third of the items on my list. No wonder bareshelves Biden is trending on social media. How embarrassing. I ask myself if this is inflation is intentional. I do believe the increase of gas prices is an attempt to push the Green New Deal. The government continues to spend and recently raised the debt ceiling by $2.5 trillion! The value of the dollar has decreased significantly under the Biden administration. Americans are struggling and sadly many are becoming more dependent on the government. Nothing in life is free; it sure sounds nice, but the taxpayers are responsible for paying. The Federal Reserve is expected to raise interest rates three, possibly four times in 2022. We will see what happens, but as long as inflation is high and continues to rise, Biden’s approval is going to go the opposite way!

Thank God for sensible Democrats in the Senate like Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema. The Democrats push to eliminate the filibuster in order to pass election laws was stopped dead in its tracks. Before a bill can get to a vote on the Senate floor, it must get a 60-vote supermajority. The rule has been made to prevent the majority party from passing legislation they can’t get the votes on. Eliminating it would essentially silence the voice of the minority party and half of the country. In the past six years Democrats have used the filibuster 589 times, but suddenly claim it’s unfair and overused. Chuck Schumer has been vocal about protecting the filibuster in the past. When asked what has changed, who do you think he blamed it on? Donald J. Trump of course! The President has also defended it up until now. “Today, I’m making it clear, in order to protect our democracy, I support changing the Senate rules whichever way they need to be changed to prevent a minority of senators from blocking action on voting rights,” Biden said in his divisive Georgia speech. He’s willing to change the rules whichever way they need to be in order to get his way. The filibuster is the only thing standing in the way of Biden’s radical agenda and it’s more important than ever to protect it. Why do Democrats think it’s so important to pass these two new election laws? Putting these laws into legislation would give the Federal government control over elections rather than the states.

Biden gave a very aggressive speech in Georgia last week that even sparked criticism from his own party. Illinois Senator Dick Durbin told CNN “Perhaps the President went a little too far in his rhetoric”. Al Sharpton said that Biden’s remarks “did not build support”. He came off as manipulative, offensive and per usual, incompetent. As if there is only one party in this country and if you don’t agree, you are a domestic enemy and a bigot. Biden asked, “Will you stand against election subversion? Yes or no?. Do you want to be on the side of Dr. King or George Wallace? Do you want to be on the side of John Lewis or Bull Connor? Do you want to be on the side of Abraham Lincoln or Jefferson Davis?” He failed to mention that all three of those on the wrong side of history were Democrats. George Wallace was a segregationist and former governor of Alabama. Bull Connor was the public safety commissioner of Alabama who had the KKK and police dogs attack and intimidate civil rights protesters. Jefferson Davis was the President of the Confederacy. They were all racists who believed in segregation. Wow, so if you don’t agree the federal government should control elections, that put’s you on the wrong side of history? It’s important to understand what prompted the Democrats to create the failed Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and why he chose to give his speech in Georgia.

I’m going to spend a bit of time on this topic because I am a strong believer in election integrity and I think it’s important to call the Democrats out for their hypocrisy. The 2020 Presidential election came with a lot of criticism and claims of election fraud. If you depend on MSM, CNN or MSNBC as a news source, there’s a good chance you never saw the video of an election official pulling a suitcase out from under the table once everyone left. There’s a good chance you never heard the reports on middle of the night vote dumps, hundreds of thousands for Biden and ZERO for Trump. Or about Republican election officials being thrown out and cardboard being put up over windows to obstruct the view. If this is news to you, it’s important to understand the news you are watching is not journalism. It’s propaganda and independent research will confirm that. There’s fraud in every election and while there’s no real way of knowing if it would have changed the results, this prompted Republican lawmakers to focus on election integrity. On March 25, 2021, Georgia’s Election Integrity Act was passed. Democrats criticized that the new law suppresses the right to vote and subverts elections. Lie. A lie that costed the city of Atlanta the MLB All Star Game. There is actually very little unique to Georgia’s election rules.

Many of the rules being attacked have been used for a long time in blue states. All it takes is a bit of independent research to see the hypocrisy, but Democrats count on their constituents to believe whatever they say. Georgia law allows early in-person voting up to 17 days early. Biden’s home state of Delaware has no in-person early voting and just recently passed reform for 10 days early at some locations for 2022. In New York, you can vote 9 days early in-person. Georgia’s count in the 2020 election was slow due to an unprecedented amount of mail in ballots. Rules for mail in ballots were expanded due to the pandemic. New law shortened its window of time to request mail in ballots. Thirty-five states have shorter time frames. The new law allows absentee voting even if you are able to vote in person. Sixteen states, including Delaware and New York don’t offer no-excuse absentee ballots. Georgia law states to vote by mail or in-person, you must prove a valid ID as well as a signature match. If you don’t have an ID, Georgia allows voters to use the last four digits of their social security number. There are 36 states that require some form of documentation to vote. A Monmouth poll also found that 80 percent of Americans support voter ID. Democrats argue this is racist against people of color. Isn’t it racist to assume they can’t obtain an ID? I cannot understand how voter ID is so controversial, but with an open border I can see why Democrats are so against it. Before the 2020 election, Georgia did not use drop boxes. Legislature voted to authorize at least one drop box in each county. Republicans put that in the bill! Lastly, the new law doesn’t allow the distribution of food and water to voters in line within 150 feet of the polling location. This prevents “line-warming”, politically affiliated organizations from trying to sway voters. Polling locations are able to set up a self-service station for water. New York bans food and drink at locations unless valued under one dollar (what’s less than a dollar these days?) and offered by an independent party. So why is Georgia being targeted for their election laws when so many other states, including Biden’s home state of Delaware, enforce the same or stricter laws? Democrats will tell you it’s because Republicans lost Georgia’s two senate races and the Presidential race; that Republicans had to change the rules because they didn’t work in their favor. Republicans wanted to change the rules to ensure election integrity. Trump had a good lead in Georgia on election night, but that diminished as a record high number of absentee ballots were counted the days following the election. I could go on forever about the importance of election integrity! #trumpwon 😉

Perhaps one of the biggest blows to the Biden agenda this week was The US Supreme Court blocking the mandate requiring the vaccine or weekly testing for companies with 100+ employees. Employers that failed to do so could have faced a $14,ooo fine, per violation. The mandate would have taken effect February 9th and impacted an estimated 84 million Americans. All six of SCOTUS’ conservative judges voted against it (6-3 vote), deeming it unconstitutional. According to SCOTUS, OSHA Mandate exceeds “OSHA’s statutory authority and is otherwise unlawful”. It will now be up to employers to decide, as long as it follows the rule of law. I’m very pleased with the outcome. It was an attempt of government overreach and control. Someone needs to remind Joe Biden that we live in a free country. It is possible to be in favor of the vaccine and oppose vaccine mandates. No one should be forced to choose between a medical decision for THEIR body or their livelihood. The supply chain crisis and worker shortage dodged a bullet; things would have gotten much worse if this mandate would have gone into effect. The mandate for healthcare workers, on the other hand, was held in place with a 5-4 vote. Half of the states have blocked this mandate but will be forced to put it into effect January 27th. About 10.4 million healthcare workers will be affected. It will be interesting to see if it exacerbates the labor shortage in the healthcare system. Some states are allowing vaccinated Covid positive healthcare workers to go to work, while firing the healthy, unvaccinated. Help it make sense! Is there no curiosity as to why millions of healthcare workers choose not to get vaccinated? They were considered heroes before the vaccine and put themselves at risk while taking care of patients for two years! Everyone has their own reasons whether they choose to get vaccinated or not and I believe it’s important to respect that. I find it ironic that the only people the government thinks they can force a vaccine mandate on is the health experts. Biden’s statement following the decision reads “…I am disappointed that the Supreme Court has chosen to block common-sense life-saving requirements for employees at large businesses that were grounded squarely in both science and law…” Spare me, Mr. President.

It was a bad week for the Biden administration, although I can’t recall a “good” week since he’s become president. His promises of uniting the country may have gotten him elected, but it was nothing more than a lie. Biden has intensified the division between parties and continues to fuel it with his aggressive rhetoric. His press secretary, Jen Psaki, refuses to give straight forward answers and her condescending responses have been criticized. The American people have been lied to and conned by this administration. We aren’t getting what we were promised and like Joe Biden’s approval rating, Americans’ bank accounts are shrinking. We cannot unite as a country until the other side wakes up and sees what many Republicans have seen for a long time. This week will mark one year of Biden’s presidency. He will be holding a press conference Wednesday that I am eager to watch. I wonder if he will have a list of reporters to call on with prepared questions or if he will be transparent and freely take questions. I’ve watched him turn his back (literally) on the American people far too many times. His failures set up one certainty, the Red Wave is coming…November 2022! God Bless America!
